Apparition of the BVM at Lourdes (EF Form) - Sat 11th Feb
Tomorrow is the feast the Apparition of the BVM at Lourdes:- http://americaneedsfatima.blogspot.co.uk states:-
"It began in 1854 when the great Pope Pius IX defined the Immaculate Conception of Our Lady as a dogma with his Bull Ineffabilis.
Later, Our Lady appeared in Lourdes 18 times between February 11 and July 16 in 1858 to a simple peasant girl, Bernadette Soubirous, where the Blessed Mother declared she was the Immaculate Conception.
Thus began a succession of miracles, which make Lourdes that great marvel that has shone in the eyes of the whole world ever since. The two events are very connected: a miracle confirmed a dogma.
While the public may be aware of these two events, many are not aware of how they are related to the problems of the nineteenth century, which were so different yet so similar to our own.
* * *
Pope Pius IX’s definition of the dogma of the Immaculate Conception had varied but profound repercussions from all over the civilized world.
It caused great enthusiasm in the faithful at large. They delighted in seeing a Vicar of Jesus Christ proclaim this dogma using the fullness and majesty of his power. It was an admirably gallant and bold challenge to the triumphant skepticism already gnawing at the entrails of Western civilization.
Pope Pius IX. They delighted yet more by the fact that it was a Marian dogma. This attacked liberalism which by its very nature gave rise to yet another nineteenth century scourge – interconfessionalism. This scourge highlights everything religions have in common (usually a vague deism) and underrates, if not outright rejects, everything that separates them.
Thus, the open or secret interconfessionalists of 1854 saw this proclamation of a new Marian dogma (like the definition of the Assumption much later) as a serious and unexpected barrier towards achieving their goals.
The new dogma also deeply shocked the essentially egalitarian mentality of the French Revolution, which since 1789 had despotically held sway in the West. To see a mere creature elevated so far above all others, enjoying an inestimable privilege from the very first instance of her conception is something that could not and cannot fail to hurt the children of a Revolution which proclaimed absolute equality among men as the basis of all order, justice and goodness. It was painful for both non-Catholics and Catholics, more or less infected with this spirit, to accept the fact that God established in creation and highlighted such outstanding inequality.
Finally, liberals dislike the nature of that privilege as such. Indeed, anyone who admits the existence of Original Sin, with all the spiritual disorders and miseries of the body that it entails, must accept that man needs an authority that he must obey. The definition of the Immaculate Conception was an implicit reaffirmation of Church teaching in this matter.
However important all these points may be, there is yet another that we would dare call the very “salt” of the dogma’s glorious definition. It is impossible to think about the Immaculate Virgin Mary without recalling how she triumphantly and definitively crushed the serpent’s head under her heel. The Revolutionary mentality is the mentality of the devil himself. A person of faith cannot fail to recognize the role the devil has played in the rise and propagation of the errors of the Revolution, from the religious disasters of the sixteenth century to the political debacle of the eighteenth century and all that followed.
For the devil to see such a triumphal affirmation of his longstanding and inflexible enemy was his most horrible humiliation. Hence, the proclamation must have given rise to an uproar of human voices and satanic howls like an immense and thunderous storm all over the world.
For true Catholics, watching the intrepid and majestic figure of the Vicar of Christ standing alone against that tempest of unruly passions, threatening hatreds and furious despair, armed only with heavenly assistance, caused a jubilation like the one the Apostles felt during the storm on the Sea of Genesareth when the Savior commanded the winds and the sea to be calm: “venti et mare oboediunt ei” (Mt. 8:27)."

Here is the wonderful Epistle and Office from today's Mass:-
1 Cor. 4:9-14
Brethren: We have been made a spectacle to the world, and to angels, and to men. We are fools for Christ, but you are wise in Christ! We are weak, but you are strong! You are honoured, but we are without honour! To this very hour we hunger and thirst, and we are naked and buffeted, and have no fixed abode. And we toil, working with our own hands. We are reviled and we bless, we are persecuted and we bear with it, we are maligned and we entreat, we have become as the refuse of this world, the offscouring of all, even until now! I write these things not to put you to shame, but to admonish you as my dearest children, in Christ Jesus our Lord.
R. Thanks be to God.
Breaking News - Knights of Malta Capitulate - Sovereign Council has Voted to Accept the Grand Masters Resignation
It has been reported that:- Fra' Festing was asked to resign on the spot and compose a resignation letter immediately and then the Pope, " had Fra’ Festing include in his letter of resignation that the Grand Master had asked for Boeselager's dismissal under the influence of Cardinal Raymond Burke, the patron of the Order. However, as patron, the cardinal has no governance in the Order and can only counsel the Grand Master, meaning the decision to dismiss the Grand Chancellor belonged solely to the Grand Master."
Moreover, the takeover is contrary to international law.

"There
are many problems in the Catholic Church that might be thought to be the ‘smoke
of Satan’ entering the church, but for my money one thing, above all others,
has been the successful work of Satan, which has undermined the church,
emasculated her ministry, sabotaged the aims of the Holy Spirit and captured a
multitude of souls.
It is the
modernist re-interpretation of the Catholic faith. The reductionist results of
modern Biblical scholarship and the infiltration of a modernist, rationalistic
and materialistic mindset meant that the supernatural was assumed to be
impossible, and therefore the Bible stories (and also any supernatural elements
of the faith) had to be ‘de-mythologized.’ Everything supernatural within the
Biblical account and within the lives of the saints and within the teaching of
the church were assumed to be impossible and had to be ‘re-interpreted’ so they
would make sense to modern, scientifically minded people.
So the
feeding of the five thousand wasn’t a miracle. Instead the ‘real miracle’ was
that everyone shared their lunch. Everything had to be questioned and
‘re-interpreted’ in such a way that it could be accepted and understood by
modern people. So when we call Jesus Christ “God Incarnate” what we really mean
was that he was so fully human, and that as he reached his potential as a man
that he shows us what divinity looks like. When we speak of the Blessed Virgin
we mean she was ‘a very good and holy Jewish young woman.’ When we speak of the
‘Real Presence’ we mean that we see the ‘Christ that is within each one of us.”
I hate this c**p.
It’s the
smoke of Satan, and it’s
virtually triumphant within the mainstream Protestant churches, and
sadly, the modern Catholic Church in the USA is riddled through with the
same noxious heresy. The reason it is so obnoxious and disgusting is because
priests and clergy of all sorts still use all the traditional language of the
liturgy, the Scriptures and the creeds, but they have changed the meaning of it
altogether. They never actually stand up and say that they have changed the
meaning, and that they no longer believe the faith once delivered to the
saints. They don’t discuss the fact that they have not only changed the
meaning, but robbed it of meaning altogether. Instead they still stand up week
by week and recite the creed as if they think it is true, but what they mean by
‘true’ is totally different from what their people mean.
So Father
Flannel stands up on Easter Day and says, “Alleluia! Today we rejoice in the
glorious resurrection of Our Lord Jesus Christ from the dead.” His people think
he really believes that Jesus’ dead body came back to life by the power of God
and that he went on to live forever. In fact what Father Flannel really means
is that “in some way the beautiful teachings of Jesus were remembered and
continued by his followers long after his tragic death.” The people don’t know
why Father Flannel’s Catholic life is so lightweight and limp and they don’t
know why his style is so lacking in substance, and they go on in their muddled
way thinking that he really does believe the Catholic faith when, in fact, he
doesn’t at all.
Priest Has No Message
Consequently,
Fr Flannel doesn’t really have much of a message at all. He doesn’t believe any
of the gospel except as some sort of beautiful story which inspires people to
be nicer to each other. All that is left of his priesthood, therefore, is to be
a nice guy to entertain people with inspirational thoughts and get everyone to
be nicer to one another and try to save the planet.
The poor
faithful have swallowed this stuff for two or three generations now, and they don’t even know what
poison they’re swallowing because the lies are all dressed up in the same
traditional language the church has always used. It’s like someone has put
battery acid into a milk bottle and given it to a baby, and never imagined that
there was anything wrong with doing so–indeed thought it was the best thing for
baby.
The
faithful don’t know why their church has become like a cross between a Joan
Baez concert and a political activism meeting. They don’t understand why they
never hear the need for confession or repentance or hear about old fashioned
terms like ‘the precious blood’ or ‘ the body, blood, soul and divinity of Our
Lord and Savior” The fact of the matter is Father Flannel doesn’t really think
that sort of thing is ‘helpful’.
This is
why evangelization of the American Catholics in the pew is probably the most
difficult task of all. They don’t know what they don’t know. For three
generations now they have been given watered down milk and been told it was
wine. They actually think that Catholic lite is what it’s all about, and are
astounded to think that there are some of us who think that they have actually
been fed a version of Christianity that is scarcely Christianity at all."
