Dear Friends,
This is a final reminder about the Westminster Cathedral
Visitation of the WAF England and Wales National Pilgrim Virgin Statue
of Our Lady of Fatima, which will take place this coming Saturday.
During this, Cardinal Nichols will receive, bless and crown the Statue.
Please do whatever you can to make known to your relatives
and friends, this unique and most important ecclesial event, at the
opening of the Fatima Centenary year 2017.
You can see more details about the day
here,
including links to a flyer, and the program for the talks to be given
during the Symposium which follows in Westminster Cathedral Hall.
The other thing is that we now have more news of the
special new silvergilt Centenary Crown which has been made for the
National Pilgrim Virgin Statue of Our Lady of Fatima, by the same firm
in Portugal that made the richly-bejewelled crown that is only worn at
Fatima on 13th of the month. As the image above shows, this new crown is
absolutely beautiful and worthy of being offered to Our Lady for her
Statue.
It will be brought from Portugal and presented to Cardinal Nichols
for the coronation in Westminster Cathedral. It is being freely offered
to Our Lady in return for whatever offerings the faithful wish to make
to her in items of gold and silver, including jewellery containing some
elements of gold or silver. This is how the original crown was made.
Please let your friends know about this so they can join in this
offering. Everyone who makes a donation for the Centenary Crown will
receive a receipt for the items they offer. More information about this
can be seen here, including a link to a form you can download and fill in to send off with your donations if you can't make it on the day.
Donal Foley, Secretary, WAF England and Wales
