Organised by the Traditional English Association of Catholic
History and Young Catholic Adults. Harvington Hall is one of the
premier extant recusant houses left in England. It’s one time chaplain was none
other than St. John Wall, one of the “Forty Martyrs of England and
Wales.” It contains numerous priest holes (or "priest hides") ,
which were built for the protection of Catholic priests or laymen/laywomen,
These priest holes have remained till today. Most notably, some of them were
the handiwork of the master carpenter Nicholas Owen, a Jesuit lay brother.
House Tour
For those going on the house tour (not
obligatory) meet at 11.30am at the entrance to the hall and then explore the
house.
Gardens and Coffee Shop
If you don't want to go on the house tour the Gardens
& Coffee Shop: are free entry (except on special event days). Coffee
Shop Opening Times - Opens at 10.00am (30minutes before the
Hall). Closes at 4.30pm (Closing time may vary depending on how busy we
are).

Access and Facilities
Free parking and disable parking - but please
note there is wheelchair access to the Hall ground floor and gardens only.
Refreshments available from the Malt House Café situated
in the Hall gardens, accessed via house and/or South Bridge. Please
note there is uneven flooring on the upper floors.
Mass
A Missa Cantata/Low Mass will be celebrated at 3pm in
Harvington Parish Church.
